on Aging - This is the Federal focal point and advocate agency
for older persons and their concerns. It seeks to educate older people
and their caregivers about the benefits and services available to help
them.
AARP
- Official site for the American Association of Retired Persons.
Benefits Checkup
- The National Council on Aging provides this site to help
seniors connect to private and government programs that help pay for prescription
drugs, health care, utilities, and other needs. Requires
filling out a short questionaire to determine which programs are pertinent.
Eldercare
Locator - A way to find community assistance for seniors. Operated
by the US Dept. of Aging, it provides help in linking to state information
and referral services and area agencies on aging.
ElderLaw
Answers - Answers to common legal questions relating
to the elderly, including insurance, long term care, veterans benefits,
estate planning and the like. Also, sections for each state, a "find
